Semi-private airline Aero is adding flights from Van Nuys Airport to Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport.
By-the-seat private jet airline Aero is launching a new service between Van Nuys and Thermal’s Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport. The flights connect Los Angeles and Greater Palm Springs.
Prices start at $725 per seat.
Flights will begin on November 1, 2024, with a schedule currently being sold through late April 2025.
Block time for the flights is 55 minutes.
35% of Private Jet Card Comparisons subscribers say they use private aviation instead of long drives.
TRM serves the region and is about 30 miles southeast of Palm Springs International Airport, 10 miles from La Quinta, and 20 miles from Rancho Mirage.
“This exciting new route to the desert comes on the heels of our recent announcement of flights between Los Angeles and the Napa Valley. Palm Springs and Napa are two key getaway destinations for travelers in Los Angeles, and these new Aero flights to airports that are not served by commercial airlines offer a fantastic new option for travelers that are tired of wasting their precious weekend time sitting in traffic,” says Aero CEO Ben Klein.
Flights are mostly Fridays and Sundays, with some Monday frequencies and varying departure times.
At Thermal Aero will use the Desert Jet Center FBO.
After pulling out from Dallas earlier this year, Aero has been building its operations from Van Nuys Airport.
VNY is the fifth-busiest U.S. airport for private jet movements.
In August, it announced seasonal flights to Napa.
