Airshare has appointed Suzanne Williams as its Chief Operating Officer.

Williams will oversee finance, legal, human resources, and IT departments.

She has also been appointed to the Airshare Board of Directors.

For the past 10 years, Williams has served as Chief Financial Officer at BarkleyOKRP, managing finance, legal, IT, and facilities for the advertising agency.

During her tenure, Williams transformed the accounting team, achieving record-breaking top and bottom-line results.

She was a key player throughout multiple acquisitions, with responsibilities including due diligence, financing, negotiations, synergies, and post-acquisition implementation.

Previously, she spent over 20 years in various financial roles at Sprint.

Williams said, “I’m proud to be joining another successful Kansas City-based company with a strong national brand and aggressive plans for future growth.”

The new COO added, “I believe my financial expertise and experience working with essential administrative disciplines are a perfect fit for this position. I look forward to complementing the great team we already have in place at Airshare.”

The company was recently named a Champion of Business by the Kansas City Business Journal for the second straight year.

Airshare CEO John Owen said, “We are thrilled to hire someone as talented as Suzanne and anticipate her making an immediate impact in many areas of our business.”

He added, “This is a vital role within our growth plans. Therefore, we spent considerable time making sure we found the right person. I’m confident she will be a tremendous asset for us.”

Airshare has been on an expansion track.

Over the past 24 months, it acquired the aircraft management arm of Wheels Up.

It then went national with its jet card and fractional ownership programs.

Last year, Kompass Kapital Company became the majority owner.

Airshare is the eighth-largest charter and fractional operator in the U.S.
