Clay Lacy Aviation’s Brian Kirkdoffer has been honored twice by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The chairman of the board and owner was named to the LA500 and the Valley200.

Kirkdoffer was selected alongside Steven Spielberg, LeBron James, Kim Kardashian, David Geffen, James Gunn, Bob Iger, Dean Spanos, among others.

Clay Lacy, his flight instructor, facilitated Kirkdoffer’s entry into private aviation.

In 1990, he joined Clay Lacy Aviation as a Learjet pilot and business development executive.

He acquired the company in 2012.

Since then, Clay Lacy has expanded nationwide.

In 2024, it was the 17th-largest operator in the U.S.

The current team is over 800 members.

It manages private jets valued at over $3 billion from more than 40 U.S. operating locations.

The company operates four full-service FBOs, including its home base at Van Nuys Airport.

During his days in the cockpit, Kirdoffer flew former U.S. presidents, a British prime minister, leading CEOs, and noted sports and entertainment figures.

The latest honors place Kirkdoffer alongside many globally noted names.
