After retrenching, Aero is expanding with Gulfstream GIVs, new routes, and an east coast base coming in 2026.
Flyers seeking a solution that fits between full private jet charter flights and crowded commercial airliners and terminals will have more options via Aero.
Following a test of flights between its Van Nuys Airport base and New York in May and June, it is now launching the route with a weekly round-trip.
The flights will link two of the busiest private jet airports in the country.
Teterboro Airport is first, and its Los Angeles home base ranks fifth.
Due to restrictions on promoting the Teterboro flights, you have to register and sign in with an account to book the service.
It is also starting flights between Teterboro and Aspen for the winter travel season.
New flights between VNY and Kahului, Maui, start before Thanksgiving.
The Hawaii flights are in conjunction with the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.
While you don’t have to stay at the hotel to book seats, hotel guests receive a variety of perks from upgrades and resort credits to discounted fares.
Perks for customers who combine Aero and Four Seasons Maui include:
The Aero website shows Hawaii seats starting at $5,495 one-way, similar to rates for the New York service.
It is the second time Aero has partnered with the five-star hotel group.
Last year, it joined with Four Seasons Costa Palmas in Los Cabos.
CEO Ben Klein tells Private Jet Card Comparisons that Aero is adding Gulfstream GIVs to support the new services.
He expects to add two to four of the large cabin jets over the next 12 to 18 months.
Configurations are being finalized, but expect 12 seats to be sold.
Aero currently has four ERJs converted to 16 seats in a 1-1 configuration, as well as a single Legacy 600, a large cabin jet.
Klein says to expect Aero to add an East Coast base sometime in 2026.
He says the ideal base will have both short-and long-haul flights, meaning an opportunity to grow both the ERJ and Gulfstream fleets.
He also expects to ink more deals similar to the Four Seasons partnerships.
The CEO declined to discuss the company’s financials, citing that it is a privately held company.
The growth comes after a period when Aero retrenched, shuttering its European operations in 2023 and a short-lived Dallas base in early 2024.
Klein said the Maui flights had the most first-day bookings of any route the company launched.
Aero offers customers the ability to bypass crowded airport terminals.
It has its own facility in Van Nuys and uses FBOs at other airports.
It also offers an elevated in-flight experience with gourmet catering and complimentary WiFi.
The Aero fleet is also available for whole aircraft charter.
