Big gains in the U.S. and a fight in Las Vegas helped power worldwide private jet activity to its biggest year-over-year gain in Week 37.
Worldwide private jet flight activity for Week 37 achieved its highest year-over-year growth of 2025.
The 78,705 segments were 12% up from a year ago.
Activity increased 7% from the previous week.
Las Vegas saw a 46% boost as fight fans flocked to Allegiant Stadium there.
It’s a stunning reversal from the same week last year.
Back then, WingX Managing Director Richard Koe said, “Bizjet flight activity is slowing fast in the U.S. this month.”
Fast forward, and U.S. flights (53,494) posted a 15% year-over-year jump.
Koe says:
‘Week 37’s 12% growth is the strongest we’ve seen all year, driven largely by North America’s exceptional 15% surge. The Crawford-Canelo fight in Las Vegas shows how historic sporting events continue to be major traffic drivers. With Q3 activity up over 5%, the momentum heading into the fall season looks very solid.’
WingX data shows Las Vegas airports recorded 640 business jet movements during the 12-14 September weekend.
That represented a 46% increase compared to the same dates in 2024.
It also compares to the average 419 flights typically seen during Las Vegas weekend periods in 2025.
Koe adds the numbers highlight “how marquee sporting events continue to drive substantial incremental demand in the business aviation market.”
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
It wasn’t just Vegas that saw the big gains.
Texas flying was up 15% year-over-year.
California also posted a double-digit increase, up 13%.
U.S. private jet segment is 10% ahead of 2024 for the trailing four weeks.
