The latest JetNet IQ survey of private jet owners and operators includes their shopping list for their next pre-owned private jet purchase.

On the list were five large cabin jets, two light jets, two turboprops, and a midsize jet.

Textron Aviation captured three spots on the list with its midsize Excel/XLS, the CJ3 light jet series, and the King Air turboprops.

Gulfstream also took two places with the G650 and G550.

The Falcon 2000 and Falcon 900 provided Dassault with two entries.

Pilatus, Embraer, and Bombardier each had one spot.

The top of the list was a three-way tie between the Excel/XLS, G650, and PC-12.

1. Textron Citation Excel/XLS

The midsize Citation Excel/XLS was in a dead heat for first place, with respondents to the JetNet IQ survey saying they planned to buy next.

The development of Citation Excel began in the early 1990s. The Excel made its first flight in February 1996.

It was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in April 1998.

In 2003, Textron introduced an upgraded version branded as the Citation XLS. In 2008, Textron introduced an upgraded version, the Citation XLS+. The Citation XLS+ NextGen includes a new interior design, avionics, and improved performance.

Its next-generation Ascend will feature a flat floor cabin.

It can seat six to eight passengers based on configuration.

1. Gulfstream G650

The Gulfstream G650 is the most desired used jet currently on your shopping list.

As of December 2024, there are 208 active G650S and 131 active G650ERs.

1. Pilatus PC-12

The PC-12 remains a winner with buyers.

Top features include luggage and cargo space via a large rear door, a roomy cabin, and short runway capability.

4. Embraer Phenom 300

The Phenom 300 has been the top-selling private jet in the light category for more than a decade.

Its extended range and capacity for up to eight passengers helped it rank fourth among JetNet IQ respondents.

5. Dassault Falcon 2000

The Falcon 2000 offers an entry point into large-cabin aircraft.

Its range makes it best suited for transcontinental flights.

6. Dassault Falcon 900

The Falcon 900 seats up to 12 passengers and offers a large cabin jet with short-field performance.

7. Textron Citation CJ3

Textron’s Citation CJ3, with its multiple versions, ranked 7th on the JetNet buyer’s list.

The Citation CJ3 and CJ3+ are powered by two Williams FJ44-3A turbofan engines, which provide a maximum cruise speed of 416 knots (479 mph).

8. Gulfstream G550

Although the Gulfstream G550 debuted in 2003, Gulfstream delivered its 600th G550 in December 2019.

9. Bombardier Global Express XRS

The Bombardier Global Express XRS is an ultra-long-range private jet designed and manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.

The Global Express XRS was introduced in 2003 as the successor to the Global Express, the first in the line.

10. Textron King Air

The ubiquitous King Air is still a favorite in the used market, ranking 10th in the latest JetNet survey.
