Global private jet flight activity remained strong through week 49, as worldwide private jet departures increased 3% compared to last year.
Over the past week, according to WingX, global private jet activity saw a sharp uptick compared to the same week last year.
During week 49, private jets around the world recorded approximately 3% more departures than week 49 of 2024.
Additionally, this number of private jet departures also represented a 9% increase compared to last week.
Overall, this marks 31 consecutive weeks that global private jets have recorded more activity than last year.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Over week 49, private jets around the world recorded a total of 76,811 departures.
Furthermore, on a rolling four week basis, which includes week 46 through week 49 of 2025, private jets have conducted over 307,000 total departures. Compared to the same time period in 2024, this represents about a 5% increase in private jet departures.
This four-week trend matches the year-to-date trend of about 5% more departures than last year.
Like previous weeks, global private jet activity was led by North America and the United States.
Over the past week, the US recorded a total of 54,102 private jet departures.
This represents a 2% year-over-year increase, but also represents a jump of about 13% compared to last week.
Major markets within the US led this increase. Florida and Texas both recorded a year-over-year increase. However, Texas saw the largest week-over-week jump of about 13%.
California, another popular US market, remained relatively stagnant, recording 2% fewer flights than the same week last year.
Even so, California recorded some interesting business jet activity, according to WingX.
Across the Atlantic Ocean, private jet activity in Europe remained relatively stagnant.
The continent recorded over 8,000 private jet flights over the past week. This was a 1% week-over-week increase, but was similar to the same week last year.
The UK and Switzerland each saw year-over-year increases in private jet departures. However, Switzerland saw the most significant increase compared to last week, operating nearly 20% more flights.
Even so, Germany, France, and Italy were three major European markets that did not show growth compared to last year. Each of these countries recorded increases of 5%, 6%, and 1%, respectively.
The Middle East experienced continued growth.
The region recorded 10% more flights than last week, a 9% increase compared to the same period last year.
Asia also showed continued growth, recording 12% more flights week-over-week and 15% more flights year-over-year.
Africa and South America each recorded significant year-over-year growth.
Africa saw 23% more flights than last year, while South America saw 21% more flights than the same week.

Part 91K and Part 135 operations continued to show growth, following the year-to-date trends. Overall, global charter and fractional operations recorded over 38,000 departures, according to WingX.
This was only a slight increase of about 1% compared to last week. However, the 38,000 charter and fractional departures represent a 2% increase compared to week 49 of 2024.
The US also led the way for Part 91K and Part 135 operations, recording nearly 30,000 departures.
Florida and California each saw slight decreases compared to last week. Even so, Florida saw 3% more departures than last year, while California saw a slight decrease of about 3%.
However, charter and fractional operations remained strong in Texas, another major market. Texas recorded a 3% week-over-week increase and a 6% year-over-year increase.

Fractional and charter operations struggled a bit in Europe over the past week. Europe saw a 3% year-over-year decrease, although it recognized a small jump compared to last week.
The UK and Switzerland were the only major markets that saw year-over-year increases, each recording a jump of about 1%. Switzerland also saw a sharp jump from last week, recording 20% more Part 91K and Part 135 departures.
The rest of the world remained relatively strong in terms of Part 91K and Part 135 operations.
This was especially true in the Middle East, which saw 19% more charter and fractional operations than last week and 13% more than last year.
Africa saw a steep decrease of about 20%, but remained up on the year, recording 2% more flights than last year.
South America saw the largest year-over-year increase of 63%, which was also enough departures to see a 14% increase compared to last week.
