Kenn Ricci’s Directional Aviation does everything from repairing (Constant Aviation) and remanufacturing private jets (Nextant Aerospace) to pilot training (Simcom). Still, outside the industry, private aviation fliers likely most know it for its three consumer brands – Flexjet, Sentient Jet, and PrivateFly – all housed under OneSky Flight, LLC.
Now Tuvoli, which means, “to fly” in Italian, promises to make life easier for private jet charter operators and brokers, with several key benefits flowing directly to consumers. Greg Johnson, Tuvoli’s president and chief information officer for OneSky, says his goal is to take the friction out of on-demand charter.

Private aviation charter platform PrivateFly, a Directional Aviation company (think Sentient Jet, Flexjet, and Nextant Aerospace), has announced a new and extended list of discounted, fixed-price charter routes for the autumn and winter season.
Last Fall, it launched the fixed price concept between London and Geneva before expanding it for the summer season. City Pair flights accounted for over 20% of its European flights during the period. It also launched $29,000 one-way pricing between New York and San Francisco or Los Angeles, which also continues.

lower than average on-demand prices on the same or an equivalent aircraft.
A year after its acquisition by Directional Aviation’s OneSky placing it alongside Flexjet and Sentient Jet, PrivateFly is gearing up for more growth after a merger with Skyjet and launching its City Pairs product
Last September Kenn Ricci’s Directional Aviation snapped up tech-driven U.K.-based private jet charter broker PrivateFly as it prepared for more expansion in Europe.
In the year since, Directional folded its own broker Skyjet into PrivateFly, launched fixed-rate pricing between key European cities, expanded it to select U.S. routes, and signaled its intention to grow here with the appointment of former NetJets and XOJET executive Gregg Slow as president of North America.
Private Jet Card Comparisons recently caught up with PrivateFly co-founder and CEO Adam Twidell during Revolution.aero in San Francisco where he talked about the deal, the year since, what’s ahead, and synergies with Directional’s OneSky siblings Flexjet and Sentient Jet. Below is a condensed and edited version of the interview.

Business aviation veteran Gregg Slow has joined PrivateFly’s senior leadership team to head the U.S. division of the company, which operates from a U.S. headquarters in Boston and a sales office in Fort Lauderdale, with further sales teams based across the country.
The U.S. now accounts for half of PrivateFly’s global flight sales for the U.K.-based provider, according to the press announcement.
Slow brings 19 years of business aviation experience to the newly created role, most recently from his seven-year tenure at XOJET where, as chief client officer, he built the commercial client-facing offering and assisted in the company’s acquisition by Vista Global. Earlier this summer the VistaJet parent merged XOJET and JetSmarter to form XO.

400XTis launched in April
Private charter platform PrivateFly, a Directional Aviation company (think Flexjet and Sentient Jet), has announced new routes to its City Pairs program, offering fixed prices on the large cabin Embraer Legacy 600. The new pairs include London and Mykonos; Paris and Marrakech; and Moscow and Nice – and follow the existing price menu for the six-seat Nextant 400XTi, which launched in April.
In a press release received by Private Jet Card Comparisons, the company says its fixed price City Pairs have proved very popular with its on-demand charter clients since the launch, and now account for over 25% of its flights. The new routes and the bigger cabin option have been added following customer demand.
