Vista Global upgrades in-flight connectivity for its VistaJet, XO branded private jet fleets

Collins Aviation’s LuxStream connectivity services will be fitted across Vista Global’s fleet of 116 long-range large cabin and super-midsize private jets

LuxStream promises 25 megabits per second across the US; 15 megabits per second globally

Calling it a “game-changing development for Vista Global members’ in-flight experience” and “unprecedented,” Vista Global today said it is the launch partner for LuxStream from Collins Aerospace Systems.

In a press release, Vista Global promises the partnership will “provide private aviation customers with the fastest broadband speeds available.” It called the move “a further demonstration of Vista Global bringing the latest and most innovative technology to market and driving radical technological change across the private aviation industry.”

NetJets adds Phenom 300, Citation Sovereign jet cards

Phenom 300 Citation Sovereign

The new NetJets jet cards give it a true light jet and another coast-to-coast option

Private Jet Comparisons has exclusively confirmed NetJets has added the Embraer Phenom 300 light jet (as we reported it would last year) and Cessna Citation Sovereign super-midsize jet to its jet card line-up, although at just over 30,000 pounds maximum takeoff weight it is classifying it as a midsize aircraft.

Both will be sold as Elite Card programs, meaning 24-hour lead-time for reservations with the hourly price including fuel, 7.5% Federal Excise Tax, and deicing. Peak day lead-time is 120 hours with a 25% surcharge.

Everything you need to know about XO’s updated jet card programs

Vista Global’s move to combine XOJET and JetSmarter under a new brand, XO, and new website, FlyXO.com, has brought some significant changes for jet-card customers. Here are the details.

The revised XO jet cards expand light and midsize programs nationwide and offer a new discount structure for longer flights

Thomas Flohr’s Vista Global group has been moving fast. Since the founder of VistaJet set up a Dubai-based holding company last September, he bought XOJET and JetSmarter. Then last month, he merged the two companies into a new brand, XO, and a new website, FlyXO.com.

The result has been an integration of JetSmarter’s Instant Booking private jet charter rates and seat sharing options into XOJET’s existing jet cards, potentially providing customers with a wider variety of options.

XO powered by JetSmarter technology

Of course, the devil is usually in the details. But first, a quick review of the program basics.

Vista Global says, Goodbye XOJET, Jet Smarter. Hello, XO

FlyXO.com is the new website that combines the two Vista Global acquisitions into a new single platform

“…a new company, new brand, new products…” – Thomas Flohr, chairman

Vista Global has merged its recently acquired XOJET and JetSmarter brands into something it is calling XO, powered by JetSmarter technology, and something it is saying is “the beginning of a new world, with instant booking and worldwide access for on-demand customers.”

Visitors to both the XOJET.com and JetSmarter.com websites as of this morning are redirected to a new FlyXO.com URL.
