The European jet card operator reveals top destinations and other fun facts about the year that was

For Austria-based private jet charter operator GlobeAir, 2019 has included both fleet expansion and a rebranding.

Recently, it also highlighted some other achievements and interesting facts.

Most popular private jet destinations in Europe

France was the top destination for private jet fliers in 2019, followed by Switzerland. Paris and Nice ranked first and second. Geneva and Zurich were tops in Switzerland.

GlobeAir passengers and flights

The operator Cessna Citation Mustangs flew 14,536 hours carrying 11,542 passengers on 8,915 legs. The average flight time was 1 hour 38 minutes.

Airports served

During 2019 GlobeAir private jets landed at 338 airports. That includes a number of airports without commercial flights. Popular hard-to-reach airports included Bolzano, Samedan, Sion, St. Moritz, and Le Castellet.

There’s plenty of opportunities to increase that count. GlobeAir says there are 984 airports within its service area suitable for its Mustangs.

GlobeAir’s travel agency

It’s not just those private jet experiences to Formula One and other high-profile events. To get its crews positioned to where you need them, when you need them Globee Air booked 8,840 hotel nights, 2,452 airliner tickets, 1,380 train tickets, and 520 car rentals.

New Year’s for the private jet set

Of course, we’re not done for 2019. Top picks to bring in 2020 are expected to be Berlin, Zurich, Milan, Copenhagen, Barcelona, and  Gut Steinbach in Upper Bavaria.

2020 Winter private jet getaways

If you already have plans for New Year’s, GlobeAir has lined up luxury private jet experiences valid throughout the winter months.
