PlaneSense said today it is marking its 30th anniversary.

Last year, it ranked as the 7th-largest U.S. operator by fractional and charter flight hours.

The private jet flight provider has built its business first on the Pilatus PC-12 and, more recently, the PC-24.

Founder, President, and CEO George Antoniadis says, “When we launched PlaneSense three decades ago, our vision was to offer a more intelligent and highly personal approach to private flying.”

He adds, “We believed clients deserved a sophisticated aircraft but also a trusted partner dedicated to fulfilling their flight needs with a cost-effective, safe, and service-focused solution.”

Antoniadis continues, “Thirty years later, that philosophy still drives every decision we make.”

The PlaneSense fractional program launched on September 9, 1995, with the delivery of the company’s first Pilatus PC-12.

It was the 20th of the type produced by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd.

The PC-12’s short field capabilities, ability to use unpaved runways, spacious cabin, and interior cargo have made it popular, so there are now over 2,000 in service worldwide.

In 2023, PlaneSense also took delivery of its 2,000th aircraft.

In 2015, the private jet flight provider became a launch customer for the Pilatus PC-24 jet, with the first delivered in February 2018.

The PC-24 brings similar performance, spac, and airport access features as its turboprop cousin.

Antoniadis says, “As we celebrate this milestone, I am reminded that innovation is in our DNA.”

He adds, “From pioneering new approaches for fractional ownership to embracing the latest advancements in aviation technology, we are constantly evolving to better serve our clients. Their trust empowers us to expand our offerings and set new standards.”

Recent moves include expanding its primary service area nationwide for both aircraft types.

It also launched an exchange program with European Pilatus operator Jetfly and its CobaltPass jet card.

The company claims a 91% client retention rate.

Last year, it won five of six categories in the Lift Provider segment of Business Jet Traveler’s annual reader awards.

The ARGUS Platinum Elite operator has been expanding its pilot training and MRO facilities as well.
