Nice, in Côte d’Azur, France, was VistaJet’s busiest destination for summer flights, Vista data shows.

Mediterranean demand surged over the summer, matching a rise in last-minute flying for U.K. travelers.

Nice was Vista’s busiest airport worldwide in July, averaging 12 flight movements a day, with a high of 29.

The Mediterranean had a strong showing in Vista’s busiest summer airports, with Nice (1st), Olbia (6th), Ibiza (7th), and Athens (8th) taking top 10 spots.

Meanwhile, London to Nice and back was the company’s most-traveled route over the summer.

The data overlooking the school-holiday peak, from July 25th to September 7th, also showed a shift towards spontaneous travel.

The median booking window for U.K. outbound flight requests fell from 18 to 10 days, falling to just eight days for Mediterranean trips, and under five for France.

Last-minute travel also saw strong growth, with U.K.-to-Mediterranean flight requests made within 72 hours of departure up 54% year-over-year.

Overall, U.K. search demand for Mediterranean destinations was up 35% YoY.

France was a standout, with interest in Nice and the Côte d’Azur up 18% YoY.

The data, according to a Vista Global spokesperson, signals the expansion of a Mediterranean luxury circuit, as travelers move between destinations and make decisions closer to departure.

Separate XO data also found that Europe continues to dominate summer demand.

Per that data set, the U.K. is a leading destination market, followed by France, Spain, and Italy.

Vista’s other top 10 busiest airports in July 2026:

  • 2nd, New York-Teterboro, U.S.
  • 3rd, Paris-Le Bourget, France
  • 4th, London-Farnborough, U.K.
  • 5th, London-Luton, U.K.
  • 9th, Milan-Linate, Italy
  • 10th, Geneva, Switzerland
