Global private jet flight activity remained flat for a rare week without year-over-year gains, as Week 39 was flat despite a Ryder Cup boost.
During Week 39 of 2025, global private jet activity reached approximately 74,368 departures.
However, while it wasn’t a down week, it was a rare week without year-over-year gains.
Private jet flight activity during this week remained flat compared to Week 39 of last year.
The activity also represents a 6% drop compared to last week.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
This week, private jet flight activity remained relatively flat compared to the same week last year.
However, over the last four weeks, private jets have totaled over 307,000 departures.
This is an approximate 7% increase over the same period of last year.
This past week also brought several significant developments in the private aviation industry.
WingX Managing Director Richard Koe discussed the current status of the private jet industry:
Koe stated:
‘While Week 39 was flat compared to last year, the four-week trend shows we’re still up 7% which reflects solid underlying demand. The New York events, both the UN General Assembly and Ryder Cup, generated strong traffic as expected. Looking at the industry side, Flexjet’s massive 300-aircraft order and Gulfstream’s G300 launch show operators and manufacturers are confident about longterm growth in the business aviation market, especially in the Super Mid segment.’
Week-to-week departures decreased 6% globally.
This was noticed in the United States, which also saw a 6% week-to-week decrease.
This was also a 1% annual drop.
Florida, California, and Texas, all major private aviation states, each saw week-to-week drops of over 7%.
However, due to major events in late September, New York City was able to stabilize private jet activity.
Both the 80th UN General Assembly, which took place from September 22nd to the 29th, and the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black on Long Island, which ran from September 26th to the 28th, resulted in significant increases in private jet traffic.
New York City airports recorded over 1,380 private jet arrivals leading into the UN General Assembly, while the Ryder Cup weekend drew over 2,220 private jet arrivals.
Europe also saw a slight week-to-week decrease, representing about 1% fewer private jet departures than last week.
However, the continent saw a 3% week-to-week decrease.
This was largely due to large year-over-year increases in Italy and the UK.
However, Germany and France saw slight year-over-year decreases.
Other regions of the world, including the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America, each experienced week-over-week decreases.
However, year-over-year, Africa saw a 3% increase and South America saw a 17% increase in private jet flight activity.
