Former Ventura Air Services CEO Sam Wolff and Principal Aviation Group have acquired and rebranded the AOG service as Alpha MX.
Alpha Aircraft Services is now part of the Principal Aviation Group.
Principal Aviation is rebranding it as Alpha MX after buying the company from Ventura Air Services.
The acquisition is a rapid-response AOG and light-scheduled maintenance provider for private jets.
Launched six years ago, it has focused on the Greater New York and New Jersey area.
Alpha will continue to be led by founder Manny Malandrenias.
Partnering with Principal Aviation is former Ventura Air Services CEO Sam Wolf.
Per the announcement:
‘Together, the ownership team brings extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, operations, and charter management—ensuring Alpha remains focused on rapid-response AOG support, exceptional customer service, and expert communication.’
In its first move, Alpha MX has already tripled the size of its Teterboro-based AOG team.
It plans to continue increasing staffing and add U.S. markets in 2026.
The company has doubled its mobile fleet and increased its in-house tooling.
Malandrenias says, “Since the acquisition, Alpha has expanded our Teterboro-based team of seasoned AOG technicians, with even more hires on the way in time for the holiday rush.”
He adds, “We understand that every minute an aircraft is on the ground means lost revenue and delayed missions for our customers.”
