Jet Aviation has launched automated drone and artificial intelligence technology for non-regulated inspections in the U.S.

Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics.

Its offerings include aircraft management, aircraft sales, charter, jet cards, completions, government programs, FBO, maintenance, and staffing.

The inspection reports can be used to enhance the accuracy of existing services, such as pre-purchase inspections.

Other applications include inspections for insurance and warranty cases.

In 2023, Jet Aviation introduced automated drone and AI technology for non-regulated inspections at its MRO hub and global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.

It worked in cooperation with Donecle, a provider of drone and artificial intelligence technology for the aviation industry.

In 2024, the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation approved the process for general visual inspections.

Regional Operations SVP David Best says, “We are incredibly excited to work with our colleagues in Europe to bring this new and unique service to our customers in the U.S.”

Best adds, “Our team is committed to listening to, and working closely with, our customers to grow our regional offering in ways that make a real difference to the owner and operator experience.”

The service provides an accurate, comprehensive, digitized report of the aircraft’s exterior for records now and in the future.

The technology is available for a wide range of business jets and narrow-body aircraft.
