Jet Aviation’s president won the Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader award, after 18 years working at Jet Aviation.
Jeremy Caillet, Jet Aviation president, has been named an EU Living Legends of Aviation honoree.
He received the Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader Award at the 5th Biennial EU Living Legends of Aviation Awards ceremony last September 5 in St. Wolfgang, Austria.
Caillet first joined Jet Aviation as an engineering team leader in 2008.
By then, he had a Master of Engineering in aeronautical engineering and a Master of Science in aircraft design.
Before starting his 18-year career at Jet Aviation, he worked for a year and a half at Dassault Falcon Jet as a design engineer.
“Jeremie Caillet’s passion for machines began as a child,” according to the Living Legends award program booklet.
It continued:
‘One grandfather sharing a love of vintage cars while taking him on the road; the other a decorated French pilot, sharing stories of aircraft through the ages and taking him to the skies.’
According to his LinkedIn, Caillet worked in several positions at Jet Aviation’s headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, before becoming president in 2024.
The award recognized Caillet for inspiring excellence, accountability, and innovation in his team and across the industry, as well as for supporting customers and professionals.
Another Jet Aviation member, Elie Zelouf, was inducted into the EU Living Legends of Aviation in September 2024.
Zelouf himself first became a maintenance mechanic in 1953. He later joined Jet Aviation as Director of Maintenance in 1967, the year it was founded.
After officially retiring as general manager of the Basel headquarters in 2009, Zelouf still helps the company as a consultant.
