The new FBO at Miami’s Opa Locka Executive Airport for Jet Aviation marks the 12th U.S. location for the General Dynamics unit.
Jet Aviation’s new FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport is now fully operational.
The 27-acre facility includes an 8,500-square-foot terminal.
There is 40,000 square feet of new hangarage.
The unit of General Dynamics launched initial operations at the site in November 2025 with a temporary terminal building.
The permanent facility is an 8,500-square-foot FBO building with a 540,000-square-foot ramp capable of accommodating larger-cabin, ultra-long-range business jets.
There are two taxiway connections into the airport system, fueling with Jet-A, 100LL, and sustainable aviation fuel, and drive-on access to the ramp via a private entrance.
On-site Customs and Border Protection is scheduled to open in Q3 2026.
President Jeremie Caillet said, “Our entry into Miami-Opa Locka marks a significant milestone for Jet Aviation.”
He added, “As one of the busiest business aviation gateways in the Americas, Miami is a key destination for customers around the world, connecting them to North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond.”
The modern architecture and interior design draw on a classic Miami aesthetic, with an open-plan layout and floor-to-ceiling windows providing unobstructed airside views to the ramp and runway.
Amenities included dedicated office spaces, guest and crew lounge areas, and a private conference room.
The facility is built to LEED standards and features solar panels, low-flow water fixtures, and LED lighting.
There is also AV and EV charging.
Miami is the company’s 12th FBO in the U.S.
It is the 7th busiest private jet airport in the country.
The Gulfstream Aerospace sister company has 30 worldwide.
It recently announced the signing of a long-term lease for an FBO at Denver’s Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, scheduled to launch in 2028.
