Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport is the site of a future Jet Aviation FBO.

The airport is located in Broomfield, Colorado, about 18 miles from downtown Denver.

It is 12 miles from Boulder, home of the University of Colorado.

The unit of General Dynamics signed a 30-year lease with SR Aviation Infrastructure and Business Aviation Group, LLC to operate the FBO.

The FBO is part of a newly developed aviation campus at the airport.

It is scheduled to launch operations in 2028.

The 15-acre facility will feature a 7,500-square-foot FBO.

There will be 70,000 square feet of hangar space.

Over 200,000 square feet of ramp space is part of the project.

It is situated on the south side of the airfield.

Jet Aviation President Jeremie Caillet said, “We are committed to growing our network in ways that support our customers’ evolving needs and enable them to operate their aircraft effortlessly.”

He adds, “Our FBOs across the world have been carefully curated to offer seamless service in the destinations we know our customers are traveling to, or have aircraft based in.”

Breaking ground on the FBO is expected in early 2027.

Senior VP Americas David Best notes, “With its proximity to both the city and surrounding ski areas, Rocky Mountain Airport continues to grow as a key hub for our U.S. and international customers.

Jet Aviation has 12 FBOs in the region and 30 worldwide.

The facility will be part of a new aviation campus jointly developed by BA Group and SRAI.
