The new FBO at Miami’s Opa Locka Executive Airport for Jet Aviation marks the 12th U.S. location for the General Dynamics unit.
Jet Aviation’s new FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport earned IS-BAH Stage 2 certification, the latest of the operator’s FBOs to receive it.
This follows the new FBO’s full opening last July; it is a 27-acre facility and the operator’s 12th in the U.S.
“The safety and security of our people, visitors to our sites, and the assets in our care is our number one priority at all times,” said Matt Feinstein, a Jet Aviation VP, in a press release.
Feinstein continued:
‘We are incredibly proud to have IS-BAH Stage 2 certification at all of our FBOs in the U.S., and to see our newest facility recognized for its robust safety practices and comprehensive training program just a few months after launching full operations. This achievement reflects the strong safety culture we embed from day one, as well as the team’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence to ensure a seamless experience for our customers in Miami and beyond.’
Jet Aviation began operations at Miami-Opa Locka last November, with the facility featuring an 8,500 square foot FBO building and 40,000 square feet of new hangarage.
The operator is a subsidiary of General Dynamics and offers aircraft management, aircraft sales, charter, FBO management, and maintenance.
It is also planning an FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Denver.
