The world’s largest private jet operator will be the first customer for Signature Flight Support’s new Renew SAF in San Francisco

Signature Flight Support, the largest FBO operator in the world, today announced Signature Renew, a company-wide global sustainability initiative to innovate and invigorate the journey toward net-zero carbon emissions.

Private jets are a key part of the initiative, according to a press release. Initially, Signature is establishing permanent supplies of low emission fuel at San Francisco Int’l Airport (SFO) in the United States and London-Luton Airport (LTN) in the United Kingdom.

GlobeAir has launched a new CSER (Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility) roadmap 2020 and putting sustainability as one of the company’s long-term goals.

The company is using the hashtag #WeArePlanetA. As part of the initiative, it will now be possible to offset one’s carbon footprint for private jet flights on GlobeAir.

Aviation accounts for just 2% of all carbon emissions. Business aviation’s carbon emissions are about 2% of the aviation total, and 0.04% of global human-made emissions.
