U.S. states recorded gains of 21%-to-96% in private jet flights during 2021, according to Argus TraqPak, with the five busiest states each holding their top positions compared to 2020.
Global private jet flights increased 3% week-over-week and are up 16% versus 2019 levels for the week ended Sept. 26, 2021, week 38 of the year.
North American private jet activity was off 1.0% for the week ending Sept. 19, 2021 (Week 37) compared to the previous week (Week 36), but still 8.0% ahead of the same period in 2019.
In a year ravaged by COVID-19 negative growth, Florida had the most private jet departures. It jumped past last year’s leader California and second-place Texas despite a 7% drop in activity. That still compares favorably to the overall market. U.S. private aviation flight activity declined 23.9% from 2019, according to Argus TRAQPak.
