Private Jet Flight Activity Analysis – 2025 – Week 12

Private jet flight activity continued its year-over-year gains in Week 12 again powered by robust flying in the United States.

By Doug Gollan, March 27, 2025

Worldwide private jet flight activity (73,863 segments) was flat sequentially in Week 12; however, it was up 2% year over year.

Year-to-date, 11 of 12 weeks in 2025 have seen year-over-year growth.

The latest Wing X numbers come as the industry ends its annual NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers conference in New Orleans.

The schedulers and dispatchers are the folks who keep private jets running on time, the behind-the-scenes heroes you probably will never meet.

‘Activity is robust’

Back to the data, WingX Managing Director Richard Koe notes, “So far this year, business jet activity is robust, with 3% gains on comparable last year, 35% ahead of pre-pandemic six years ago.”

He adds, “As we reach the fifth anniversary of the initial Coronavirus lockdowns, business jet activity in Week 12 this year is almost twice as high as in Week 12 in 2020.”

Koe says, “In Europe, business jet activity has stalled this year with departures just 1% ahead of pre-pandemic 2019, and the market in Germany appearing particularly weak.”

The U.S. market (51,376 departures) was up 3% compared to 2024.

Florida, the biggest market (9,142 departures), posted 11% gains compared to Week 12 last year.

Texas, on the other hand, was down 4% on 4,932 departures.

As Koe noted, headwinds in Europe saw a flying dip of 2% compared to last year.

For the week ending March 23, 2025, saw 8,861 departures.

Germany’s 1,096 departures marked a 12% year-over-year drop.

On the other hand, French departures (1,436) surged by 10%.
