Sentient Jet will host its annual Kentucky Derby breakfast with Chef Bobby Flay this Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
Jet card inventor Sentient Jet is returning to the Kentucky Derby for the ninth consecutive year as the signature event’s preferred private aviation partner.
The 151st edition takes place on May 3, 2025.
The jet card division of Flexjet, Inc., also sponsors the $600,000 Twin Spires Turf Race, a premier event on Oaks Day.
For the Derby, Sentient Jet says it is backing Tiztastic.
Tiztastic is among a half-dozen entrants currently at 20-to-1 odds.
Ron Winchell, Mrs. John Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derrick Smith co-own him.
Hall of Fame inductee Steve Asmussen trains Tiztastic.
Tiztastic will be ridden by newly inducted Hall of Fame jockey Joel Rosario.
Sentient Jet previously partnered with Winchell Thoroughbred Racing to support the 2022 Derby Runner-Up Epicenter and 2021 contender Midnight Bourbon, along with 2018 Preakness Stakes contender Tenfold.
The private jet flight provider previously supported Kentucky Derby Champions Nyquist (2016) and Country House (2019), Derby runner-up Lookin at Lee (2017), as well as Echo Zulu, Hidden Stash, Omaha Beach, Gronkowski, Sole Volante, Combatant, Track Phantom, and Society Man.
Also on tap is a return to Repeal at Hotel Distil for its 7th annual Derby Day Breakfast for clients.
The breakfast will, as usual, be hosted by Brand Ambassador and Food Network star Bobby Flay.
In addition to overseeing the kitchen, Flay will share his annual Derby Day picks and betting tips via Sentient Jet’s social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
President Alan Walsh says, “The Derby is a tradition that celebrates history, passion, and community.”
He adds, “Our ninth year at Churchill Downs speaks to the meaningful role this event plays for our card owners, with many of whom are deeply connected to the sport.”
Walsh, who was elevated into the top job after Andrew Collins moved to Co-CEO of Flexjet, Inc., notes, “As demand grows for access to culturally significant moments like the Derby, we are proud to provide access and hospitality card owners who want more than just a seat at the race and look for a memorable experience built around it.”
Winchell Thoroughbred Racing’s Ron Winchell says, “Sentient Jet’s presence and support have added tremendous value over the years. The company’s commitment to racing hospitality continues to shape a modern, memorable Derby experience.”
