Private jet arrivals at airports near the U.S. Open nearly doubled as worldwide private jet flight activity was up again year-over-year.
J.J. Spaun was a surprise winner of the U.S. Open last Sunday in Western Pennsylvania; however, the numbers for worldwide private jet activity in Week 24 were much the same as they have been for most of 2025.
That is up!.
Worldwide private jet flight activity (75,806 segments) increased 2% year-over-year.
That makes 20 weeks up, with two weeks where segments were flat compared to 2024, and just twice in the red.
Sequentially, private jet flight activity increased by 3% according to the latest WingX data.
And speaking of Spaun, two airports, KPIT and KAGC, near Oakmont Country Club saw significant rises in private jet arrivals due to the event.
During the event week (June 9th – 15th), 452 private jet arrivals were recorded across the two airports.
That was up from 259 arrivals during the previous week.
Most arrivals came from Fractional fleets, followed by Branded Charter fleets.
Combined, these two operator types accounted for 234 of the arrivals last week.
Overall, U.S. private jet flights (54,859) saw a 4% year-over-year gain.
That put the market 6% ahead of last year over the trailing four weeks.
European private jet departures (13,996) declined by 1% year-over-year.
Still, they are 2% up during the past four weeks.
Middle East flights were the biggest loser for the week, down 9% year-over-year with 1,548 departures.

European charter and fractional segments dipped 2% compared to 2024.
Looking back at the week that was, WingX Managing Director Richard Koe says, “Business jet demand in the U.S. keeps on growing.”
He adds, “The US Open was a showcase for spikes in bizjet attendance at airports closest to blue ribbon sporting events.”
We would like to recognize the reader who noticed the regional totals in our weekly update don’t add up to 100% of the week’s worldwide private jet flights.
Thanks for noticing!
Mexico is not included in the North America figures.
Australia and New Zealand are excluded from the Asia total.
