Worldwide private jet flight activity (77,787 segments) continues to obliterate last year’s numbers, up year-over-year for the ninth straight week.

Week 2025’s 6% year-over-year jump based on WingX data marked 21 weeks of year-over-year gains in flight volume.

Two weeks were flat, and there have just been two down weeks so far in 2025 compared to 2024.

The weekly results, for the week ending June 22, 2025, also set a 52-week high for worldwide private jet flight activity.

Segments were also up 3% on a week-to-week basis.

WingX Managing Director Richard Koe says, “Business jet activity continues to grow year-over-year, more than 3% gains in the first half of 2025 in stark contrast to last year’s stagnant market.”

Koe says, “The growth is influenced by the U.S. market, notably in Texas and Florida, with the charter and fractional operators flourishing.”

On the other hand, “The business jet market in Europe is slack, with key markets seeing a drop-off compared to last year’s surge in demand around the Euro tournament.”

U.S. private jet segments (50,697) were up 8% year-over-year.

Texas (4,971) led the way with a 17% year-over-year spike.

WingX shows 40% of the activity was intrastate flights.

Colorado was the top out-of-state destination for departures from Texas.

Mexico, followed by the Bahamas, was the top international destination.

Europe flights (14,678) were down 1% year-over-year despite a 5% week-to-week gain.

However, Italy (+21%, 2,182 segments) and France (+11%, 2,755 segments) also set 52-week highs for the week.

The Middle East saw a 22% increase in departures (1,617 segments) compared to 2024.

Koe says this was influenced by the conflict between Israel and Iran, pointing to “just 22 business jet flights out of Israel, and a shakeup of business jet activity out of countries in the Gulf.”

He notes, “For example, there were 100 additional business jet departures out of the UAE in the last week compared to Week 25 in 2024, and 14% fewer departures from Qatar compared to Week 25 last year.”

France, with 1,983 charter and fractional segments, set a 52-week high.

South America (+33%), the Middle East (+18%), and Africa (+16%) all showed year-over-year double-digit gains.

The 2025 numbers, so far, reverse two years of slight declines following 2022’s record high, driven by Covid-19 demand.
