New helicopter service for the French Riviera and Italy was announced by Flexjet as it revealed new Riva inspired interiors.
Flexjet is launching a helicopter service in Northern Italy and the French Riviera.
The announcement was made to reveal new LXI Cabin Collection custom designs.
The latest designs are in partnership with Italy’s Ferretti Group.
They can be seen on one of its Gulfstream G650s and a pair of Sikorsky S-76 helicopters.
Plans for the collaboration were announced in 2024.
The reveal came via social media from the boat builder and is being referred to as the Riva Volare.
The iconic style of Riva motoryachts inspires it.
According to the announcement, one of the Sikorsky S-76s will be used in a new helicopter operation serving Italy and the French Riviera.
The other will be based in Florida.
The latest European helicopter is based in Milan, marking the opening of a new service area.
Flexjet has been expanding its last-mile solutions since early 2021, when it bought a helicopter operator based in the Northeastern U.S.
In November 2021, it bought a U.K.-based helicopter operator.
It has since expanded the last-mile service to Florida, more recently on a year-round basis, with flights to the Bahamas in 2023.
Ferretti Group clients enjoy preferential access through the partnership.
Flexjet hours can be used for helicopter flights on an interchange basis.
Sentient Jet card and FXAir clients in the U.S. and Europe also have access to the fleet.
The finished design was revealed yesterday at an official unveiling event at Milano Prime Linate Airport.
The venue was a newly opened hangar as part of Flexjet’s European expansion.
Featured was a static display of the G650, S-76 helicopter, and a Riva motoryacht, the Aquariva Special.
