Only 3 of the 25 busiest U.S. private jet airports saw gains in 2020

The busiest private jet airports in 2020 saw drops at 22 of 25, including a 50% drop in flights at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, which remained the busiest private jet airport in the U.S.

Nearly 90% of the busiest private jet airports in the United States saw a drop in departures for COVID-19 ravaged 2020 compared to the full year of 2019.

Private jet flyers are hanging at their second homes this Fall

New research from Tuvoli shows how COVID-19 has altered the travel patterns of private jet users

An analysis of FAA flight data by Tuvoli, a platform that expedites payments between private jet charter brokers and operators, reveals how COVID-19 is impacting where America’s most affluent folks are hanging out, or at least those that use private jets.

Labor Day private jet flights down 16%

Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and Denver had the busiest airports for private jets

Teterboro, Las Vegas, and Palm Beach had the biggest drops among the 15 busiest airports

Data from WingX shows Labor Day weekend flights for 2020 were 16.1% below 2019 levels. It was a slight uptick from August but below the 4th of July holiday. During the extended Independence Day weekend, private jet flights were up 5% on a year-over-year basis.

Comparing Sept. 4-7 in 2020 versus Aug. 30-Sept. 2, flights fell from 30,361 to 25,483.
