Flexjet orders $1.4 billion private jets from Embraer Executive Jets

Flexjet’s order includes 64 Praetor 500s and 600s, plus the best-selling Phenom 300

As it prepares its expansion into Europe, Directional Aviation’s Flexjet announced today it has placed a $1.4 billion firm order with Embraer Executive Jets for 64 of the Praetor mid-and super midsized aircraft and Phenom 300 light jets.

Embraer Executive Jets President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Amalfitano and Flexjet Chief Executive Officer Michael Silvestro made the announcement at the 2019 National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas.

Silvestro said the first Praetor 500 will enter its fleet in the next several weeks. He said Flexjet will announce at EBACE next year details on which aircraft will be based in Europe.

Flexjet launches Flexjet Forum series

The first forum featured President Bush in New York City last week

Directional Aviation’s Flexjet LLC, launched the Flexjet Forum last week. The event was first teased with event photographs on social media.

Designed to be a series of intimate and meaningful conversations, Flexjet Forums take place at unique venues with some of the world’s most influential people. Guest speakers are selectively chosen for their accomplishments, expertise, insights, and relevance to the interests of Flexjet owners, the company said in a press release.

The inaugural event featured President George W. Bush in Manhattan on September 25.
