In a post on LinkedIn, PrivateFly co-founder and CEO Adam Twidell announced he is leaving the company. The move comes three years after he and his wife, co-founder Carol Cork, sold the U.K.-based charter broker to Directional Aviation.

Directional Aviation’s PrivateFly has launched a Bitcoin Jet Account. The move comes as it reveals more than one in 10 of its private jet flights were paid for in Bitcoin last month. The bookings represented 19% of its sales.

Driven by the COVID-19 pandemic’s changing border restrictions and quarantines, there were major changes to private jet charter bookings during the July to September period.

While there have been endless reports about the influx of newcomers – PrivateFly said their share increased to 44% from 35% – some of the other changes were perhaps expected but had not been previously reported.
