JSX adds Dallas/Austin flights; doubles Houston schedule

By-the-seat private jet operator JSX is expanding its Texas presence with flights between Dallas and Austin while increasing the schedule on its Houston route

After building its by-the-seat network on the West Coast, JSX is apparently focused on its home state of Texas. On Sept. 27 it will start twice-daily flights between Dallas Love Field and Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

An expose by Business Insider has revealed that Rob Wiesenthal, the founder and CEO of helicopter and jet sharing service Blade, posed as a spokesperson for the company using the name Simon McLaren.

As the market doubles, Embraer adds semi-private jet ERJ 145 conversion

With by-the-seat scheduled private jet services expanding, Embraer is offering aftermarket conversions for 16 to 28 seat configurations

As JSX and Aero expand in the Western U.S. using converted Embraer regional jets, the Brazilian manufacturer paves the way for more similar options. The new conversion will be possible through a supplemental type certificate (STC), currently under development by Embraer, and all ERJ 145 are eligible to be converted to a semi-private aircraft.
