U.S. Fractional flights are up 57.4% since 2019 powering worldwide private jet flight activity, according to WingX.
Worldwide private jet flight activity (69,236 segments) was flat in Week 33 compared to the previous week.
That’s 2% below the same week in 2023.
According to WingX, private flights worldwide (283,057) are just 1% lower than last year over the trailing four weeks.
U.S. flights (46,759 segments) were up 1% sequentially and 1% below last year.
With the Olympics winding down, Europe (11,366) saw a 7% week-to-week drop, putting its flying 1% below last year.
Still, Europe’s private flight activity was up 4% year-over-year with 51,479 segments.

Fractional and charter operators (35,846) were down 2% week-to-week, although they were flat with last year.
Over the past month, the fractional and charter operators saw a 1% gain (149,681 segments).
The U.S. (25,035) was down 1% week-to-week and up the same amount year-over-year.

In Europe, fractional and charter operators (8,305 segments) saw a sequential dip of 5%.
That was 2% below last year.
However, WingX Managing Director Richard Koe says fractional operators are carrying the market.
The North American fractional fleet is less than 8% of aircraft, but the first 18 days of the month account for 23% of departures.
Canada’s AirSprint was up 137.6% compared to 2019’s pre-Covid numbers.
Flexjet was up 131.3% on the same basis, while PlaneSense can claim 78.1% growth.
NetJets, which accounted for 67.5% of departures, saw 48.7% growth compared to 2019.
In total, fractional departures were up 57.4% over the past five years.
