Florida private jet flight activity rebounded from Hurricane Milton with a 32% week-to-week increase.
Worldwide private jet flight activity (76,492 segments) saw a 5% week-to-week gain in Week 42, powered by Florida’s 32% rebound from Hurricane Milton.
The Sunshine State helped move global business aviation departures to a 2% year-over-year gain.
Overall, WingX data shows the U.S. 4% ahead of 2023 for the week ended Oct. 20, 2024.
That was enough to bring flying flat over the past four weeks in the industry’s biggest market.
Europe’s 10,585 departures were 2% higher than a year ago.
However, the trailing four weeks showed a 2% decline.
The Middle East (1,313 segments) and Africa (717) both continued double-digit declines for the week and over the past month.
