Private Jet Flight Activity Analysis – 2025 – Week 13

Worldwide private jet flight activity was up year-over-year for the 12th time in 2025’s first 13 weeks as tariffs shadow what’s next.

Worldwide private jet flight activity (71,134 segments) increased year-over-year for the 12th time in 13 weeks, according to the latest WingX data.

While sequential activity dipped 4% for the week ending March 30, 2024, year-over-year gains were up 8%

It was the highest week-over-week increase of the year.

WingX Managing Director Richard Koe tells us:

‘As the first quarter of 2024 ends, 900,221 business jet departures have been recorded globally. That’s 3% more than in Q1 of 2024 and 34% more than in Q1 of 2019. The active business jet fleet has also grown. Active tails were up 1% in Q1 compared to last year and up 24% compared to 2019.’

Liberation Day impact

For those who think what goes up must come down, Koe adds, “Liberation Day does not yet appear to have made a dent in demand for business jet travel, although the concerns raised around the economic impact of a global trade war are likely to slow the market in subsequent quarters.”

Regarding impact, U.S. to Mexico flights were up 1% in Q1.

However, since tariffs have been imposed, flight activity has fallen 6% compared to March last year.

In Week 13, there were 735 private et flights from the U.S. to Mexico, down from 889 in the previous week.

Private jet flights from the U.S. to Canada were 2% ahead of Q1 last year and flat in March.

Still, segments (34,741) were 2% below 2024 levels.

Over the past four weeks, smaller markets showed gains, with Africa(+12%) leading the way.
