Berkshire Hathaway’s NetJets is providing a bullish outlook for 2026 as it expands its fleet of over 800 private jets.
NetJets has pre-sold over half of the private jets it expects to receive in 2026.
The world’s largest private jet operator has option agreements with Bombardier, Embraer, and Textron Aviation.
News of the sales achievement came from NetJets Aviation President Patrick Gallagher.
Posting on social media, he wrote, “With the end of the year in sight, I’d like to applaud the accomplishments of the NetJets sales team.”
Gallagher continued, “In addition to a successful 2025, the team has already pre-sold well over half of the aircraft that we expect to take delivery of next year!”
He concluded, “Thank you for all you do—especially while staying focused on maintaining strong relationships with our owners this holiday season and into the new year.”
At the beginning of November, NetJets had 818 aircraft in its fleet.
That doesn’t include aircraft managed by its Executive Jet Management unit.

The 2026 outlook comes as WingX and ARGUS TRAQPak data show the industry is on track to break its 2021 record, then broken in 2022, after two years of slight declines.
Per WingX, on a week-over-week basis, the industry has seen 40 of 46 weeks with gains, three weeks equal to last year, and only three down weeks.
It has been 28 weeks since the worldwide private jet industry has seen negative year-over-year growth.
NetJets operates over 1,400 flights daily, according to its website.
Officials have previously pegged annual deliveries at 80-100.
In September 2023, NetJets signed an options agreement with Textron for up to 1,500 jets, valued at around $30 billion.
That followed a similar deal with Embraer in May 2023 for up to 250 Praetor 500s.
Last year was a deal with Bombardier.
According to parent company Berkshire Hathaway’s annual report, it ended 2024 with over 9,000 employees.
The headcount at NetJets increased to 9,106 from 8,349 in 2023.
That also compares to 6,476 employees at NetJets back in 2019.
NetJets has also been expanding on the ground, adding more private terminals.
